Komen Atlanta Race for the Cure

Heaven'Lee Balloon Creations is proud to have been chosen to do the Balloon Decorations for the 2010 Susan G. Komen Atlanta Race for the Cure.  This is the sixth year for us to do the Balloons.  Each year, they are a little different.  This year's race was at Atlantic Station at 17th Street in Atlanta.

Below are just some of the pictures from this year's event.

There were several areas where we placed 9 foot columns.  These columns had a 2 foot balloon on top.

The same type of columns were placed on the fences at four of the gates to the Expo area.

Survivors finished the race through two of these arches, while others went through another area.  At the end, survivors received a flower.

The tents were decorated with clusters of 6 balloons, 2 white, 2 pink and 2 rose.

There were balloons all around the stage.  Since it is so windy at Atlantic Station, we do not put up helium arches.  In addition, there were 2 breast cancer bows on the stage and two others in the survivor area.

After the race was the Jazzercise cool down.  Two of our workers for the day are also Jazzercise instructors.  After all the work they did, they still have enough energy to Jazzercise.

In addition, there were balloon bouquets at the volunteer check-in, registration area, start line, information booth and a smiley face nurse at the first aid stations.
